Ability to sew using Long Arm sewing machine and binding machine.Ability to sew together large and heavy canvas tent product. some cutting.Must have ability to read plans. CANVAS GOODS MANUFACTURER    
Our Business, Swains Canvas was established over 100 years ago in Rockhampton. We service the Central Queensland, Central Highlands and Capricorn coast areas.  Our employees included Motor trimmers, Upholsterers and Canvas workers, all of who can also work outside their specific trades within the workshop. 
We currently have a vacancy in the Canvas section.   Experience in Shade sails, Awnings, blinds and PVC manufacture preferred, however other experience considered.  Willing to work in our other departments would also an advantage. 
The work is extremely varied, and you would be required to work with minimal supervision. 
Currently there are 9 working in the workshop and front Shop. Based in Rockhampton, only 20 minutes from the coast, and 3 hours from the Gemfields, good fishing, great lifestyle. 
This would be a full time position for the right person and above award wages negotiable.  Interested?
