Experienced Industrial Textile Tradesman

If you are an experienced tradesman with a background in trimming, upholstery or canvas work and are looking for a change and a challenge then A & B Canvas Australia is looking for you to join our great team. The right person for this job would possess the following skills and attributes:

• Happy and motivated to work well alone or with minimal supervision in a team environment, while enjoying the camaraderie and friendship that exists at A & B Canvas.
• Willing to think outside the box, loads of common sense and prepared to learn new skills
• Certificate 3 in Industrial textile Fabrication or similar trade certificate is an advantage, but experience in the industry is essential
• Some computer knowledge
• Handy with tools and have a good grasp of mathematics
• Current drivers licence
• Be ready for an immediate start

Industrial Sewing Machinist

A & B Canvas is looking for an experienced Sewing Machinist to join our great team.

The right person for the job will possess the following skills and attributes:

• Happy and motivated to work well alone or with minimal supervision in a team environment while enjoying the camaraderie and friendship that exists at A & B Canvas
• Willing to think outside the box, loads of common sense and a positive ‘can do’ attitude
• Good communication skills
• Good grasp of mathematics
• Be ready for an immediate start Wages are negotiable depending on experience, followed by a review after three months.

Junior Factory Hand

We are looking for a keen young person to join our great team with willingness to learn the industrial textile fabrication trade and the desire to pursue a traineeship within the industry.

The right person for this job would possess the following skills and attributes:

• Ability to work well in a team environment and enjoy the camaraderie and friendship that exits at A & B Canvas
• Keen and enthusiastic to learn new skills with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
• Handy with tools, able to lift 15kg or more and with a good grasp of mathematics
• Own reliable transport preferred but not necessary
• Be ready for an immediate start Award wages paid to the first three months followed by a review of conditions

Experienced Manufacturer of Canvas and Vinyl Goods, located on the Sunshine Coast at Caloundra. Experience in Shadecloth, Canvas and P.V.C. preferred however all other experience considered.
