Thank you to all Members who have expressed interest to support ACASPA our Day of Action which took place Thursday 19th February. Thank you also to Members who have already contributed directly to the fire relief fund and to all Members who have offered products and their services. It is great to see such compassion and support being offered towards such a worthy cause
Thursday 19th February was our Day of Action. We suggested that every ACASPA member, Supplier and Fabricator, contribute a percentage of that day's turnover/profit to the disaster relief fund.
ACASPA is now collating all funds in order to make a donation to the Red Cross Appeal that has been established for the bushfire survivors. ACASPA will arrange for individual receipts to be supplied for taxation purposes, and will also keep all donations confidential.
Some of the Victorian members may also be in a position to help in other ways. Schools, kindergartens and parks have all lost their playgrounds. In time, new ones will need to be built and will require shelter. Some members may be in a position to help with materials or construction. If you can help, please contact the ACASPA office via email or phone on local number 1300 555 787. A register is being set up with contact details for later on in time when the Red Cross has conducted an audit of the areas affected and is in a position to list what is required.
ACASPA has many generous members. I urge you all to contribute to this appeal.
